    How to Play!

CKXplode! is a 2 player fighting game where the first person to run out of cards loses. Players take turns attacking and blocking until one player runs out of cards and is defeated.  First player to run out of cards loses.  Fighters you collect from exploring CK Expo will give you more strategy options.

1 Select your fighter, read his card and place him in front of you. Each fighter will have a special power and/or a one time block unique to that fighter. Shuffle the remaining 9 Attack/Block cards and place them face down next to your fighter

2 Pick a player to attack first. Each player then draws the number of cards indicated on their fighter. (usually it’s two) and chooses one of those cards in the attack or block position depending on whose turn it is to attack. Place it Face Down in front of you. Hint always spin the arrows on the card towards your opponent so that You can read attack or block depending on what you are doing

         3. Flip both cards over and compare your fighting grids. Imagine if the fighting cards were placed on top of each other and you could see through them. If any of the 9 squares overlap the attack is blocked but if no coloured in squares over lap then your fighter does the amount of damage indicated on his card (usually 1 to 3) Remember this for a few seconds.

         4. Shuffle the fighting and blocking cards back into your decks. If you took damage this turn then throw that many cards out of the game. Now you have less cards in your deck as your fighter gets tired. If the attack was blocked then just move on.

         5. Now it’s time for the second player to attack and you follow steps 2 to 4 again. For the rest of the game each player takes a turns attacking and defending until one player runs out of cards and loses the game.

Special Blocks. Once or twice per game your fighter can use the special block on their card instead of the block they selected for that turn. Set aside your your chosen block to be shuffled back in to the deck and use the blocking pattern on your fighter instead. Then turn your fighter sideways to show that you’ve used your special block for the game.
